The County Executive

When your council joins us, you automatically become part of your relevant District Association (there are seven in Hampshire).

It’s vital that each of these District Associations can contribute to the policy and direction of our organisation, as well as the wider sector ensuring we continue to effectively reflect the views of our members.

To do this, up to four members of each District Association join the Chief Executive, President, Vice Presidents and Hampshire County Council Representative on the Hampshire Association of Local Councils County Executive, which meets four times a year. Its purpose is to:

  • Understand sector issues and drive forward the Association's response
  • Represent the ALC on various external bodies and committees
  • Contribute to the strategy of the Association and agree member fees

In addition to the County Executive, our AGM is an annual opportunity for our members to vote on Association matters and put forward resolutions.
